Graphic Design Technology 2024

I created a poster for the 2024 Graphic Design Technology Exhibition which won second place. I was aiming to represent the grunge style for this project. The theme was risk

I was inspired by the chance some graffiti artists take when spray painting public areas.
I also wanted to represent the balancing act that students experience when going through the program.

I took photos of myself which I put into Photoshop, removed the background, and made black and white.

I layered the program's description from the Santa Fe website over handmade textures for the background.

My first iteration had too much static and felt busy, but I had a good idea of where the design was heading.

By the end I merged the photos and paired it with bright colors around the edges to add a graffiti pop.
